junkie kudu. dart hanging from its neck

Is that an old kudu or just in really bad shape?

It's very skinny.

i know some animals look emaciated as they age. but i can't recall ever seeing any animals looking like this at any zoo i've been to. do antelope age like this?

also i was thinking about the dart maybe they leave it in like an iv for humans, but then i would think it would be bandaged and not so dirty. and the animal would probably not be on display.

From the huge horns and poor body condition, could this just be an old animal?

Even if this one is old the rest are skinny and limping so these guys are in bad shape all together. Is there no AZA in Sri Lanka?

It is extremely emaciated. Old age alone should not result in this appearance if it was being properly cared for.
