Pool in the African Elephant exhibit at the Pachyderm House.
African Elephants? I went in 2004 and they only had Asians, including in that exhibit. Hm.

It would be ****** if I didn't know the difference between these two species at this age; I seem to remember Africans inside but there were none in the outside exhibit.

Hm. Well I don't know then. I will have to look into it and see if and when they've exhibited African Elephants.

I've found out that before renovation the Pachyderm Building used to hold Africans, Asians, Rhinos, Tapirs, Hippos, and Warthogs, but the renovation was in 1998 and after the renovations on the Asians and Black Rhinos remained. So that still leaves the case pretty empty. That's about all I could find on the subject. Maybe some Africans were visiting from another zoo?

I believe Cleveland Zoo's African elephants are in Columbus while Cleveland's new exhibit is being built.

The Cleveland Zoo's Africans are at the Columbus Zoo *now* for renovation in Cleveland, but not in 2003 when that picture was taken :)
