This is a spacious exhibit for the zoo's sun bears, and it is larger than what is shown in the photo. There are loads of hiding area, climbing opportunities and enrichment placed all around the outdoor habitat.

Don't forget Honolulu Zoo. Out of all the zoos mentioned, Honolulu Zoo probably has the most natural of all Sun Bear Exhibits. The bears are actually allowed to climb some real trees and the whole exhibit has tall grass with steep hills. The only problem is that the fence does not allow great viewing.
It's been a long time since I last visited, but one of the things I never forgot was seeing a Sun Bear huddled up on a branch, curling its tongue downwards, straight out.
