An alexandrine parakeet is a fair bit larger and chunkier in body shape than a rose-ringed parakeet, though both were around. In fact, the other pictures that I uploaded are of rose-ringed parakeets. I do believe that that is its nest. Many of the parrots were nesting in small holes in walls such as this one.
