I'm sorry, I don't know. I was 13 years old at the time, and I wrote on the back of the photo "Raccoon at the fun park, Scarborough". I can't visualise the place at all.

I have done a bit of research, and it turns out that this was Mr. Marvel's Fun Park, which had previously been Scarborough Zoo & Marineland. Apparently, Mr. Marvel's Theme Park (as it became) closed down in 1999.

It looks as if the 'fun' at Mr Marvel's park was not available for this animal.

I agree ... from what I recall, there were no suitable enclosures in the park. There shouldn't really have been animals kept there, in my opinion, as it was supposed to be a fun park for children, not an animal collection.
