Approximately, three! :D

That's the whole group; a new bull is currently being sought.

The aim is to get a white bull - time will tell. For the moment they're being run with a male Zebu - any offspring will be Dzos, the standard pack cattle of Nepal.

Whipsnade's bull is castrated. There may not be an entire male Yak of any colour in the UK.
'Dzo' is a really useful word in Scrabble.

Is that right? He must have only been done recently if thats the case, since a Yak calf was born at Whipsnade 3 months ago.

That's interesting to know. Presumably if they got a Black one, the colour would be dominant and all(?) calves would be black, soon eclipsing the uniqueness of this little group.

Another word for this(or similar Yak/cow cross) that I've heard(mentioned in E.P. Gee's book) is 'Glang'....
