Taken literally minutes ago! For the past few weeks my girlfriend and her family have been able to hear a number of fledgeling tawny owls in their garden, which is within the boundaries of the Northumberland National Park, occasionally getting glimpses of said animals. As such over the past few nights I have been watching and listening for them in the evenings; however any sightings I have made have been in light conditions too poor to manage an effective photograph. Tonight I struck lucky - the calls of the fledgelings were coming from the wooded burn running through a gorge by the house, and I was able to carefully position myself overlooking the burn and take a series of photographs in the fading light.
