It was in quite a good position for photography and viewing where it was! That is a great photo that you took (it looks less sunny than when I visited though :p).

Were the any highlights when you visited? As there was nothing unexpected when I visited.

It was a bit grey, yes!

Nothing unexpected but the expected at Bempton is always worth it! Three puffins here and one at Flamborough, plus of course guillemot, razorbill, kittiwakes, fulmars and gannets.

Spent the evening at Blacktoft Sands which was much less predictable - Marsh Harrier and Bittern were very nice but might be expected, and the distant Montagu's Harrier was at least a known presence, but the Osprey was a very nice surprise!

I saw several puffins flying about in the distance and only one stationary one. I would count Tree Sparrows on the list of expected birds, I guess you saw some?

Blacktoft generally seems to hold more surprises.
