Upper view of the Lion exhibit, taken from the Lookout Lodge. This exhibit is really huge, I think it is around 3000 square metres. It is located next to the Plains of Africa, a central-situated mixed-species exhibit.
This photo was taken from the middle of the Lookout, and in the enclosed pictures You can see the other parts of the enclosure. The first one shows the left side of the exhibit, with lush vegatation, and in the second photo You can see an open, plain area on the right.
Is there space below the lookout that is inaccessible to the lions? It looks fantastic - my one concern is someone potentially falling into the enclosure.

The lions have access right up to the wall below the lookout. The lookout actually sits on top of the Lions indoor accommodation.
The barrier is quite high though, way above waist height. The only someone would fall in is if they climbed on the barrier, in which case they probably deserve to fall in.
