Ever thought that the dingos at Africa Alive might've died in the 17 years since the photo was taken (or the x number of years since Suffolk was rebranded).
I understand that this was the second last Dingo in the UK. It was very old when I took this photograph and had been bred (if I remember correctly) at Knaresbporough Zoo. It died not long after. The UK's last Dingo was held at Heythrop and kept with a pack of wolves. It too died in the early 1990s.

Is there any reason why nobody's brought some more in? From what I've read on here, several UK zoos seem to have multiple Australian species (notably 'roos, some koalas). It doesn't make sense (to me) to miss off the country's last big, native predator
Suffolk Wildlife Park held a pair of Dingo, in what is now roughly the serval enclosure. They came from Knaresborough Zoo when it closed, and were possibly related. To my knowledge, they were not put down or sent away when the owners of Banham took over the park. This animal would have been very old by the time this photo was taken. If it was a single animal at the park in 1992 I would suggest its companion had already died.
