Small carnivores in general, as you *might* have noted from my posting history, are my favorite group of mammals unusual small mammals like tenrecs and non-lemur prosimians are close runners up though.
Wonderful animal. Don't think I've seen Zorilla since London Zoo had the species in the '70s. Bit misleading, as far as the public's concerned however, to have Zorilla at a place that endeavours to concentrate on South American animals.
As far as I know there is one private collection with Zorillas in the UK, which they have bred recently. They are thought to be the only ones currently in the UK.
Out of interest, in 1993 I worked in a private collection which had several Zorilla which had come from ZSL London Zoo I believe, they also bred at this private facility in 1993.
Funny if its the same private collection that I knew had them, they are now refusing to say if they still have them and how the young are doing, the last time this place did that with something was because they had lost the lot!
I'd love to see this taxon someday, but I doubt this will come to pass; the aforementioned private collection with zorilla is, to my knowledge, the only such collection in the entirety of Europe with the taxon.

TLD - Yes I believe it is.
ZooGiraffe - it is hard to say, I have not heard anything to suggest that he has not still got them ?
You had probably guessed that the other private collection I was talking about in 1993 was Burstow just to clear that up.
