There are a lot of smaller water bodies that look like that at Amazona, the otter enclosure can be quite bad too.

The flamingos do have access to the main lake though, which is much clearer:

am glad to hear they have a bigger cleaner lake then thats good,has this flock ever bred I did send them a letter but never got a reply

I don't have a definite answer, but I've been every summer since they opened in 2008 and never seen any signs of nesting.

I don't know where they came from though, nor what numbers of male/females they have.

shame they are not putting any effort in to get them to breed,they could put mirrors or make them nests,i have never visited but was aware of the zoo since it was opened.Its also a shame they did not cover the flamingo area with netting so they could fly,thanks for the info hope they nest soon
