There were 4 squirrels in the smaller left hand section of the enclosure, 2 or 3 of which were noticeably darker in their coats, and 1 or 2 in the right hand side. This one had its head stuck out of the nestbox when I arrived, it let me take a few photos and then emerged as shown above (this reduced the shadow problem from the low sun, which was even luckier).

I'm sure you mentioned in a different post that you visited in the afternoon, that's the only time I've ever seen them. Twice, within half an hour of closing time and both times the place has been pretty deserted.
