hillside i've not herd of them,i would think slimbridge would be the best place as they are able to breed them glad they are being moved to a bigger group though
It used to be open to the public but closed some time ago. I would guess the very small size of the site and rather awkward road access were a factor.
It was open for the weekend a couple of weeks ago as part of the National Gardens Scheme. There is a still a nice collection of waterfowl and the huge flock of Lesser Flamingos, including a couple of birds still not quite in adult plumage.
I've never seen lessers before,am really pleased to learn about this flock and that they are breeding,looks like a nice flock and place for them to lvie they must be happy if they are breeding,were they fully winged it does not look like they are wing clipped.thanks for showing me them! must visit if it is open again
