I think it's impossible to fault this exhibit in terms of viewing - the views are clear and birds close by. I'm not sure why the viewing needs to be both sides of the 'upstairs', and it'd be nice if it was a bit larger (particularly as it's next to the huge sea lion pool) but it's a very nice addition.
And the zoo nerd in me (which is certainly a clear majority of me!) loves the fact that they've brought in Magellanics!
I agree entirely about this exhibit; but perhaps it is important to add that although the pool is not particularly large in area, it is significantly deeper than most. I guess Edinburgh's pool is even deeper, but I can't think of any others in the UK (but I haven't been to every zoo).
