P P Pertinax 26 Jul 2011 Pinkfooted Goose. The one behind looks like a hybrid with either Emperor or Barnacle Goose as one parent.

Maguari 26 Jul 2011 Bill is wrong for a Pink-footed - theirs are smaller and darker (http://www.zoochat.com/208/pink-footed-goose-martin-mere-28-a-201114/). Equally, the feet are very bright for a Greylag. I wouldn't be surprised if they were both hybrids.

FBBird 26 Jul 2011 ID please Greylag soft parts are very variable. Bird in front is a pure Greylag. The other could well be Greylag x Emperor -- definitely not Greylag x Barnacle.

P P Pertinax 27 Jul 2011 I agree now its not Pinkfoot. The bill is wrong. Bird doesn't look quite right for pure Greylag though? The bird at the rear definately looks as if it had an Emperor parent (from the face and yellowish legs).
