View of Aardvark enclosure

An outdoor aardvark enclosure seems very unusual. Most of the time one sees them in nocturnal houses. Are these aardvarks out much?

The tire tracks are extremely off-putting in the Blackpool enclosure. Did one of the aardvarks get its driver's license?

My all-time favourite aardvark experience was at Detroit Zoo in 2008, as one of the critters was easily viewed digging holes all over its large enclosure. Here is the exhibit:

On the very last page in the Detroit Zoo gallery there are at least 6 photos of the aardvark out and about in its habitat.

One of the Aardvarks was very bust running about the enclosure,most of the day,as far as I know the Aardvarks haven't got a driving licence but the staff do go in and move the earth around to change the exhibit for the Aardvarks!

I think most out of the collections that hold aardvarks have an outdoor area for them, I know London and Colchester do. Yes, Arnie and Laurel are out the majority of the time when the door is open, I've fed both aardvarks and I'm planning to this Sunday.

It is the normal in the UK,but I have yet to see them in mainland Europe with an outdoor exhibit!
