Does that tunnel allow staff access to the house? Can't the chimps climb it and escape?

It is for the staff to get i to the house,it has an electric fence collar not shown in the picture to stop the chimps climbing inside it.

i think a new house house has been built for them on the "mainland"

They have 4 Chimps,and yes they do have a new house been built fro them off the island but its not finished yet.

Again, thanks. I have been here but never saw the chimps. Rain must have put me off. Have both their bears died now? What will they do to replace them?

Yes both the bears have died,will find out what going to replace the Bears hopefully when Malyan tapir returns from Scotland later this month.

I will be taking the trip sometime during the summer to the safari park, so i will also ask.

I think the enclosure would make a great baboon exhibit
