Ferret cage, 1st November 2013

No marten should be kept that way-poor ferrets.Looks like a nice and clean park-the bikes in the background are pretty cool. What animals ar in the other cage-civets or a serval maybe ? Hopefeluuy, the Birds of Prey are be kept a bit better-I bet, on a lead, if they are not can be fly for a couple of minutes in the Birds of Prey show.

I'd have thought this is a much better cage than most used for Ferrets kept in the home.

That is not a cage behind the bikes, it is the wooden building on one of my other photos. There are plenty of aviaries, on and off show, for the birds of prey.

Ferrets aren't Martens, they are Polecats. 'Martens' are far more powerful, and active/agile than Polecats which are the wild counterparts of Ferrets. Domestic Ferrets are less active/agile than wild ones too. I think this enclosure is adequate- its light, airy and has pipes and sleeping area. It certainly wouldn't be suitable for any species of highly active Marten however. Of course, it would be even better too if it was much larger, though Ferrets sleep an awful lot of the time and would probably make relatively little use of all the extra space.

No need to complain about this cage being too small . If you open the blue door it is far bigger inside than it appears to be , probably room for a big cat or two .
