I can see that, i also know how fast a cat is and how slow humans are. Long claws can go wide trough the fence.
I know of some cases where the keepers lost some fingers or a hand to the 'cuddly' animals.
I can see Animal's point of view and understand his opinion. He is quite correct in what he says.
BUT
KateA is this lion's keeper, and if she is a good keeper then she knows the animal well. The lion is possibly enriched by the experience of the close proximity of his keeper. Without knowing this animal and KateA's relationship with the animal (not to mention her experience), I would never presume to tell her how to suck eggs.
Yeah, well, the thing is that I have known keepers who thought and said the same thing.
One is dead (an elephant stepped on his head), another is missing an arm (polar bear), others missing fingers.
But they all felt 100% confident in their relationship to their animal.
