No offence taken. I respect everyones opinion, but it seems many cannot accept others opinions if they differ with mine.
and i think this forum is now just becoming a place for anti zoo campgainers just to get BAD information on zoos, and that we should learn to co-exist with other people opinion, yes they are sometimes annoying, irritating, stupid just keep it to urself or talk to the PRIVATELY so it doesnt become a big massive fued like this one...

Incidentally, the "grow up" was a joke, as what I wrote reminded me very much of what had been written earlier in this thread with a "grow up" following it.

Again, I am legally a child so don't mind being reminded of this. And your post says that your credentials to discuss this matter are working with animals for twenty something years. I simply pointed out that shooting squirrels is not the best experience when it comes to lions. I never said you had dealt with lions so stop putting words in my mouth.

I'm sure you're a lovely person, Dawn, and I don't wholly disagree with what you say, but come off it - your rudeness and unpleasantness on this thread is just extraordinary. And to start having a dig at this poor chap because his spelling's a bit dosgy, when your own spelling and grammar are, in places, really very poor... well, it's a bit hypocritical (to use the word of the moment).
Not quite sure why you're so worked up on this. Yes, I've read your arguments; yes, I understand them; yes, I agree with a few of them. But why do you respond with such ill-concealed venom?

Dawn B - i totally agree that this is potentially a dangerous situation that KateA has put herself in. that lion could quite easily have put its claws through the fence and done some damage.
however, its a pedantic argument to begin with and you can blame nobody but yourself for the deterioration of this conversation. we all take calculated risks with our lives every day. most often when we are driving a car, or when we get on an plane, or talk back to the drunk at the pub who's being rude to you.
i think to question her professionalism the way you have was pretty bold of you. but i think its well and truly backfired.
This thread has gone crazy! if people woudl like to discuss this futher, without it impacting on the Bristol Gallery, please make a topic for the discussion, maybe "Keeper contact with Big Cats or something along those line.
This reminds me of a long talk before a battle between good in evil. I guess I'm Supposed to think Dawn b is leading a rally and constant dialogue that makes you want to fall asleep in the movie theater sort of builds up to the moment before the title card, "So Topic Closed!" and everyone scurries out of the theater.
