New Gardens and Aviaries at Bristol, 06/02/12

A pleasant area with aviaries with a mix of pigeons, turacos and passerines and landscaped seating and garden areas - incorporating those distinctive gorilla cage-front panels.

Oh, la, la, they've used the old Gorilla cage fronts rather more creatively than before, you can't miss them now. Will be tempted to stick my head through like 'Congo' used to do.

I presume this is redevelopment is somewhere in the SouthWest corner between the Monkey Temple and the Lake?

Yes - they're pretty much everywhere!

The little house in the background is the one attached to the prairie marmot exhibit and currently the pudu night quarters.

Is that a permanent home for the pudu?
