I haven't been keeping up with the British zoo news, so can someone fill me in on what is happening here? Are they just renovating the house? Will they still have okapi in this enclosure once its complete or will this become part of the gorilla house too? Or perhaps a second, very small, outdoor enclosure for them?
As I understand what was previously the 'okapi half' of the house will be given over to the gorillas , with visitors passing along a 'tunnel' down the middle . Gorillas will be either side and above . I do not think the paddock is intended to be used , bongo have been mentioned as a new inhabitant with a possible of the okapis to the new collection .

The Okapi have been moved back to where they used to be. A previous plan shows Bongo planned for this paddock but I don't think it is for the Gorillas anyway. Only the House is being renovated for the Gorillas, as Bele decribes above.
