Also lots of other photographs(+ some other postcards) of Bristol gorillas from the past, including one of the keeper in with Delilah and Daniel as a juvenile. I have several more of Daniel as adult to put up here too but for some reason the first one hasn't shown up as a photo- though it is here. Not sure what I have done wrong.
I'm sure you are aware he was the first to be reared but actually the 2nd to be born. The other female Caroline's baby was born about a month earlier but died at ten days old. I seem to remember the pregnant Delilah stole it temporarily also but they got it away from her. I have a photo of Caroline & baby too.

Your thumbnail doesn't show, but the main image is visible if you open it. I don't know why this has happened.
I have found a few of my own photos of Daniel, from 6 to 30 months of age - but they will need to be scanned.
