Those all are not jewel beetles, but flower beetles (and particularly NOT ornate sun beetles).
Red&black ones are from Pachnoda genus (probably red morph of P.ephippiata), and purple ones are Smaragdesthes(=Chlorocala) africana.

Only members of Buprestidae family are called 'Jewel beetles'. All species at this pic are flower beetles (Scarabeidae, Cetoniinae).
By 'not ornate sun beetles' i meant 'not Pachnoda marginata'. Looks like this common name is shared in Pachnoda genus.

That is the trouble with common names, especially of lower vertebrates and invertebrates. Somany different species have the same common names.
I originally posted the wrong Pachnoda species name, for which I apologise. Bristol calls them P.trimaculata, I have little knowledge of insects so I assume this is the correct scientific name for the species.
