These are Black Rats, though there was a separate enclosure for Brown Rats with a tube like this (which can be seen towards the back). This tube goes across the ceiling of the 'Barn' which is a building themed to look like part of a barn that shows species that can be found within human habitation in barns etc. As well as the two rat species, the 'Barn' also has an enclosure for House Mice and the indoor areas for Red Foxes and Barn Owls.
