This Elephant was born Late in 2006 and was Named Raman by the viewers of the childrens magazine show;Blue peter. Hi mum Thi hi Way has had a 2 other babies in the past, Sithami and Assam. Assam lives in a zoo in Belgium and was born in 2000. Sithami does not. She still lives at Chester and has had a young calf called Sundara. She will stay in the herd for the rest of her life, as she is a female.
Usually when a baby is born Maya and Sheba, the 2 non reproducing elephants lend a helping trunk.
