No, you have the wrong canal bank. I never made it clear, that is because I remember the zoo in the 60s and 70s. The lemur enclosures are the only exhibits to have occupied that site as far as I know.
There were some aviaries along the zoo's northern boundary. One for condors was opposite the giraffe house, a long one was opposite the Tropical House and a small one, where this shot was taken was next to it. Another small aviary stood next to the former peccary enclosure. Look for numbers 26 and 27 on the 1977 plan. The long aviary usually housed vultures and the two smaller ones eagles and sometimes young eagle owls.
