It was orignally a group of four or five bachelor male Sable, when this dropped down to a single male through deaths and dispersals the zoo received a female (the last youngster from Paignton, I believe) to pair up. I'm not sure if the last male died or was moved on off the top of my head but the lone female was the last Sable to be held at Chester. (I used to adopt them...)
