Reef HQ is a small aquarium in Townsville, Queensland, that I had never heard of until I went up to stay with a friend. I wasn't expecting to visit any zoos or aquariums on this trip so it was a pleasant surprise but it also meant I didn't bring a camera and had to rely on my phone.
The main attraction is this massive great barrier reef tank that's open to the sky above and filled with living coral. This forms the centre of the aquarium and you make your way around the outside where there are smaller exhibits for more delicate/dangerous species (e.g. seahorses, lionfish etc).
