I'm ashamed to say that the fact Chester had a black jaguar completely passed me by when I visited ..... though this is a good reason (amongst lots of others) to try and go back !

He is a male, named Pele (I believe) and he came from Marwell Zoo. His previous mate and son are in the outdoor enclosure with the waterfall. He is kept seperate as he is quite well represented in the population.
