I guess the long tusks seem to skip a generation in that bloodline because Tunga's grandfather, Chieng-Mei, had a very impressive set of tusks but his dad Chang only had tushes.

I believe its been discussed before on here, but I'm interested how different Asian bulls, even related ones, may or may not have tusks. Is it inherited genetically, or is it random? If genetic, how does the inheritance work?
Quite right, my mistake
I was fooled by seeing Tunga and Upali on Saturday. They both have fairly hairy backs, but Upali is much more muscular and he also has a splendid tuft of hairs on his tail.
