snowleopard, there are two groups of coati at Chester. One group lives with the bears, the other lives on their own island on the other side of the zoo (which is where this photo was taken).
I'm not too sure on the total which live with the bears...
It looks like a fantastic exhibit , ring tailed coatis are amazing animals. they can be found around the subrubs of Mexico city so its always feels bizarre when i see them in zoos.
