Asian Elephant frolics - 6 April 2009

The 4 smallest elephants were having an absolute blast playing in their pool .... they kept getting in and out, shoving each other back into the water (just like little kids do). It was so enjoyable watching them.

The older elephants seemed totally uninterested.

At first I only saw the elephants standing up in the back. Then I noticed there are four in the pool! That is really cool.

In all of my visits I've never seen the elephants use the pool (I know they do since I've seen loads of photos, but I've never taken any time to watch them for long, so my fault). Can anybody tell me any times to keep an eye out for them swimming? Maybe it is more likely at a certain time etc.
