Temminck’s tragopan ([i]Tragopan temminckii[/i]), finally becoming somewhat more visible in the second Asian Aviary.

Damn Bird - I spent a good 30 to 40 minutes lurking down there on sunday to no avail - grrrrr!!
 
Nice photo. The Cabot's next door is now fairly bold so maybe this type of bird just requires a while to settle in.

That's undoubtedly the case, although the Cabot's is now also being drawn out to the fence-line by the presence of the Temminck's next door.

The time of year may also help; the Temminck's aren't going to be able to hide in their oak tree when all the leaves fall off and in addition the zoo will be quieter, so both factors combined should prompt them to explore a little more.
 
Does anyone know why they got rid of the satyrs just before getting these two species?
