Sumatran Laughingthrush Aviary Redevelopment - 22/01/2011

Work progressing on the Sumatran laughingthrush aviary outside the main entrance of the Tropical Realm.

It now has a vaulted roof (rather than the previous flat roof) and the old waterfall and pond have been excavated. Much of the overgrown ivy has been cut back and the area now looks much bigger and lighter. The work has even revealed an old set of steps and door, which turn out to lead to a boiler room in the realm.
