I don't know, but since they want to breed endangered rodents they probably will get some squirrels.
 
Squirrels do seem to be quite popular animals, so i would Imagine that They'd be quite high up on the list. Get these back and get rid of the Prevost's!!
 
I agree, at least the giant squirrel was visible most of the time, thje Prevost's is hardly ever visible when I go.
 
Yes, i've only ever seen him twice, and that was after 6pm on the frost fair!!

The giant squirrels are also nicer and rarer in zoos, so for us, they are much better.

What other rodents are going to be imported soon to Chester?

Are the prevost's squirrels the ones in the left squirrel enclosure outside the elephant house? If I recall the red-bellied squirrels are in the right one... If so, i have seen them quite a few times (not as often as the red-bellied though)
 
My god forgot just what a lovely creature this Squirrel was,seem to rember they also had Fire-footeds in the same row?
