Kiburi and Kumari, Iblis's new girlfriends

Soon to be on a banner somewhere at Chester Zoo
I can't abide it when they heavy-handedly Photoshop photographs from the zoo. Either select a photo without wire or leave the wire alone, it's a zoo, it's what keeps the animals in.

Not sure what you are saying here .... I have a good enough lens that will throw the wire out of focus, I don't like the wire in my photo's unless it's maybe in the background but I don't try to hide the fact that they were taken in zoo's.

You might be talking about the fact that the wire to the right where the text is shows no wire when we know there is some there. But, let's credit people with some intelligence that they know Chester is no safari park and they will be some sort of wire netting somewhere !!

Precisely. What I'm saying is that if the zoo don't want wire in their imagery (the wire in the background, not the foreground wire that can be blurred with a shallow DOF), then why not select a photograph that's wire-free, rather than the crude manipulation?

I suppose it's just so easy nowadays to photoshop an image rather than wait until the "perfect" one shows up, I gather they needed it quick and mine just fitted the bill. I don't think their intention is too fool people but just to make the image more pleasing to the eye.

I didn't find the wire offensive to the eye - admittedly wire in front of the image is 'unpleasing' (excuse poor english here) when you can see it but I'm with SMR here I don't see why the Zoo bothered to 'shop it really.

Like you said it just says that the image isn't quite right in the end and that's more frustrating as a photographer!
