Field vole juvenile (wild)

Anteater paddock, Chester, 21st July 2012.
A child asked me what was in the paddock, I pointed out the pudu, as the anteaters were indoors. 'No, there!' he said. Three young field voles were feeding in the newly cut grass; each one was the size of a large walnut.

Fantastic shot!

Cracking shot yet again Alan,it was certainly time well spent watching,a wild animal going about its life in a zoo.

I absolutely love it.
Respect to the child who spotted the voles! :)
