A great photo of a very special animal - the first in Chester's history :) hope it is visible on my next visit!

I believe the calf has been named 'Tafari' a female. An excellent photo JR, very much looking forward to seeing her. It's interesting to know that Chester's breeding male 'Dicky's' father 'Kiburi' was actually at Chester previously. I don't know whether he was mixed with 'Stuma'. Finally it seems Chester have a good pair, was Dicky mixed with Stuma when she first arrived in 2005/06?

'Dicky' was Chester's first Okapi but afaik he had already moved to London when Stuma arrived and she was paired with the younger 'M'Buti' until the exchange was made later and 'Dicky' returned to Chester.
