Almost every opentopped exhibit on the Australian coast that has fruit eating animals!

the lorikeets are wild and just fly down to share the fruit....the pandas did not seem to mind :) It was a great exhibit for seeing the pandas close up.

Oh, because its in Australia :) Thats gotta be an amazing sight. Are they a common sight in Australia?

if you mean the lorikeets we have them in our backyard everyday :)

Thats awesome. Is it just in the area you live, or the whole continent/country?

rainbow lorikeets are mostly found along the northern and eastern coastlines of Australia. We also get sulphur-crested cockatoos, Rosellas and the occasional King Parrot and corella in our yard

I have a large flock of about 55 that roost in the trees at the back of my backyard almost every night and can get very noisy indeed!!!!

I also get rosellas (crimson and eastern), sulphur crested cokatoos, grass parrots, galahs, corellas, scaly breasted lorikeets and musk lorikeets with the latter two forming mixed flocks of a dozen or so

Haha..yes lories are very noisy...beaten at our place though by the cockatoos when they are dining on the neighbours mandarin tree...dozens of them on the rooftops and fences...they are such characters and so enjoyable to watch and photograph
