How many individuals are there? Is there any hope of keeping other duiker species in the future? It would be really good to see these very distinctive antelope more widely kept.

Chester have two on display now - but it has taken a long time to get to this position, several cases of 2 steps forward and 1.5 steps back. I would not be surprised if they try to import further specimens to establish a decent group, but I doubt if any other species of duiker is available from European zoos.

At present they have 1.1,fingers crossed they should get the UK first breeding of this species within the next 12 months or so.
No other species of Duiker is planned at the moment,as Chester want to prove themselves with this species first, but once that has happened who knows what species they could get, since they have turned down at least 5 species before going with these!!!
