I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the enclosures - the biggest failing of this type of exhibit is often that the amount of theming and visitor facilities squeezes out the animals a little, but most of the enclosures so far visible look very decently-sized.
At a recent members talk it was hinted that the architects originally had much smaller animal enclosures but the zoo pushed for far bigger surface areas. The banteng have a huge off show paddock and the orangs have a total of 3 outdoor and 3 indoor enclosures! Visitors will have to work hard and have patience to get a glimpse of the inhabitants.....
