Gentle Lemur and I tried to figure out what this was... A special recycling centre, a puppet theatre maybe?

It, another like it nearby, turn out to be the new Magic Memories kiosks. This one - which currently blocks out the view of the Indian rhinos - is likely to be moved somewhere out of the way.
ditto - a couple of them are actually keen photographers and we usually have a chat on arrival or departure when our paths cross. The majority now recognise regulars and tend not to both asking us - it's not exactly hard to say no thanks and smile is it ;)
The ones holding the exit door open at fruit bat forest however have been encouraged to stop after several fruit bats needed escorting back into the forest! :D

That happened when I was in fruit bat forest!! They were stuck in the tiny doorway in between the 2 sets of flaps. I got a very close encounter I can tell you!!

I must admit I have found the Photographers by the entrance very friendly when ever I have visited maybe it's because I have my camcorder & camera (old days) showing.

Whatever it was, it left the zoo this morning and was last seen on the car park next to a lorry near the membership office. The other one is still there.

This was still in the car park at 5pm last night, looks like its final position, outside the membership office

Was up and running today in front of Bembe. A very long queue to pick up photos as I left the zoo - so looks ever popular! It's been done really well actually with good attention to detail in the theming etc..... At the first photo point of your visit you are given a wrist band which is scanned every time your photo is taken. This is then scanned at the booth at the end of the day and you can chose what pics you want. Looks a very slick operation if that's your cup of tea.

Disney Theme Park style - I think the new management like the Disney style as it is being adopted in a few places around the zoo.
