Islands problem areas - Tripa obstruction

Invertebrate area on the left, tentacled snake aquarium on the right. What do you need in the narrow passage between these two popular displays? A coil of rope, a bucket and a plastic container! It's a danger to shipping Monsoon Forest, Chester, 27th August 2015

Bit misleading as you can walk the other side of the invertebrate area. But if orangs are visible behind then yes this will become crowded quickly.

You can only see half the inverts from each side, so people look on both sides and then at the snakes. There is enough room for two small people or one pushchair to get past the obstruction at the same time - which is not enough.

It was congested yesterday, I was standing by the side of the snake viv nearest the orang utan window and a lady on a diabled scooter was by the exhibit talking to myself, Zoogiraffe and the presenter. No one could get past. Hopefully the oil drum thingy will be removed.

I was sure I could see both from the one side. as they were just glass tanks in there.

Still the fact remains you can walk the other side of this, which was more open if I remember correctly.

They have changed the set up so the inverts are now more visible from all sides. However, the barrel is still a major obstruction even before the orangs have been moved in and I agree it should be removed elsewhere.
