Islands problem areas - crocodile traffic jam

This is the bottom of the ramp down to ground level in the Monsoon Forest, the entrance to the cul-de-sac with the crocodile underwater viewing windows is in the centre. It's a real bottleneck for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Chester Zoo Fan says that a queue system has been introduced here, which will help, but the path may need to be widened too :( Monsoon Forest, Chester, 27th August 2015

Yesterday morning it was a one way system, but in the afternoon, around 5ish it was a free for all.

The jam at the croc pool, as well as the double-bridge conundrum showcased in another photo, appear to be very elementary mistakes that should really have been rectified in the initial plans. How the zoo will solve the congestion at the croc pool is going to be interesting, as a queue system/timed entry might not go over too well for very long.

I saw the queueing system in action. There was approx 30 mins wait to see what was (when I was there) an empty pool as the croc did a monumental 'no show'. If I'm honest I think it's worse queuing to see an empty exhibit than navigating the free for all, but that's just my opinion. Not sure if the zoo can rectify this by creating an additional entry to the croc viewing - likely be too difficult to mess with the structure.

Worth noting that demand to see the croc is at an all time high. The image on the website of the croc 'high fiving' the little boy has gone viral and appeared across dozens of publications!! It is easily the top attraction in the zoo right now (arguably beating the baby elephant!!) so once the hype and marketing (zoo must be thrilled with the amount of free press they are getting) dies down then maybe the queues will too?

Actually, I think that the initial plans were changed in both these cases - presumably for valid reasons. The double bridges are strange, but don't cause a major difficulty. The crocodile pool is the bigger problem in my opinion, it is exacerbated by the fact that the two crocs are the largest and most spectacular animals in Islands and the female habitually rests close to the window as the photos here show.
