Islands reopened yesterday after being closed for 10 days. Several tasks have been completed, notably the transfer of the Sumatran orang utan group into the Monsoon Forest and the completion of work on the three herptile displays. Various other modifications to the paths and exhibits have also been made: details are in the Islands thread. The changes to the boat ride are obviously taking longer, perhaps partly due to bad weather and short day lengths. All the exhibits in this phase are now complete and once the weather improves I am sure it will be a great attraction.
