Galapagos Tortoise exhibit at Western Plains Zoo

This picture shows only a small fraction of one of the exhibits. I thought I'd share it because it shows a lot of the main elements of the exhibit. The fence is really cool but very low and anyone could easily step over it. The plantings are nice and include a lot of succulents. And it is in a position that gets half sun half shade so I guess that's best for reptiles

I don't want to start a new thread and couldn't find one already on the topic so I'm just posting here instead.

I was watching a show called talk to the animals last week and they had a segment on the attempts at breeding the Galapagos tortoises here at Western Plains Zoo. They gave a brief run-down on the individual animals and then showed how galapagos tortoises actually do "it".
