Between the Islands complex and the elephant complex, does Chester Zoo have what is widely considered to be the best Asian animal collection and exhibits in the UK? Are there other zoos that have comparable exhibits and collections of Asian wildlife?
I would say Realm of the Red Ape is a more significant part of Chester's Asian Animal collection than the elephant house. But yes, i can't think of another UK collection with such a diverse and well-exhibited collection of Asian fauna. (Still, it would be nice to have more of the parrots and unusual herp species on show)
