This is larger than many other fennec fox exhibits, and I'd rather have the somewhat realistic, mock-rock background in a zoo than basic fencing. It seems as if Colchester Zoo has a mix of both throughout the grounds, and in the case of the fennec fox habitat I think that it works just fine.
hmm, Fennec looks really small fox, but in stress situations i saw them climbing and jumping really high... Could be interesting to know if never any fox was escaped from this exhibit.
